Chairman's Christmas Walk, 27th December 2008.
The Parish Chairman's Christmas Walk, the Five Farms Walk, will take place on 27th December 2008, commencing at 10.45 a.m. starting and leaving from The Jolly Woodman pub. It lasts around 1.5 hours and covers a distance of around 2.8 miles. All welcome to either walk off the Christmas turkey or join us for lunch in the pub afterwards.

Last year's walk attracted a good number of residents. This is an excellent opportunity for people to explore parts of our local countryside they may not previously have discovered. As always, this is followed by an optional lunch in the pub afterwards, so if you want to eat, order this before the walk sets off.

Wear suitable footwear in case it's muddy.
Jennery Lane Car Park
The Jennery Lane Car Park will be closed for resurfacing from 12th January 2009 until 2 February 2009, short and long stay parking will be available in the Summers Road and the Neville Court car parks. The contractors working hours will be from 8am to 6pm and the works could take to 5/6 weeks. We are sorry about the inconvenience and hope that the repair will be undertaken shortly.

Recycling will still be available in the Summers Road car park during this period.
Lent Rise Road Street Lights
The four lights in the Lent Rise Road subway were smashed on the evening of Thursday 16th October. This was reported to Highways on Call on 17th October following a concerned local resident’s telephone call to the Parish Council Offices earlier that day. We were informed that the fitting had been smashed completely. New ones have been ordered and delivery could take up to 5/6 weeks. We are sorry about the inconvenience and hope that the repair will be undertaken shortly.
Rebuilding of Burnham Park Halls
The halls will not be available commencing 31st July 2008. The Parish office will remain on the site until December 2008.
