Cllr Rukhsana Pasha

Email: Rpasha@burnhamparish.gov.uk
Committee Membership: Planning Committee
Biography: I moved to Burnham from South London in 2000. While I immediately appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and charm of the village, my Civil Service role kept me very busy during my early years here.
In South London, I was actively involved in the local community alongside my Civil Service work. I supported the local church by baking for events and assisting with coffee mornings for women. I also helped elderly residents with transportation and shopping during my spare time. My commitment to community service extended to education, where I served as a school governor while my sons were studying, attending meetings and supporting school events.
At work, I also served as a Diversity Officer, a role that deepened my dedication to promoting culture, diversity, and inclusivity. These values continue to shape how I interact with others in both personal and community settings.
With a background in public service and a strong desire to contribute, I joined the Parish Council one year ago and currently serve on the Planning Permission Committee. I take pride in this role, as it allows me to support our village’s development.
As a councillor, I’m committed to listen, promoting respect, and fostering transparent, inclusive communication across Burnham.
