Burnham Parish Council is very pleased to confirm the addition of a bench to the bus shelter on Gore Road opposite the Royal British Legion.
The shelter is one of four owned by the Parish Council: two on Gore Road, and one each on Lincoln Hatch Road by Burnham Park Hall, and Lent Rise Road near Lent Rise School. It was noted that, unlike other bus shelters owned by the Parish Council, there was nowhere within the shelter for passengers to sit whilst waiting for the bus. Whilst there is another bench nearby at Almond Road, it is not undercover.
Burnham's Men Shed then came to the rescue, by very kindly offering and installing a bench that they had recently restored. The bench is now in place at the bus shelter, and will no doubt be greatly appreciated by everyone who uses the stop.
The Parish Council would like to thank Burnham Men's shed for their help and generosity.
