Burnham Parish Council was delighted to accept two amazing new design pieces for Burnham Park Hall, from Burnham Grammar School design students

Every year, as part of their A Level Product Design coursework, BGS students produce and execute designs for a community project. This year they worked with the Hall to come up with some amazing ideas. Councillors then chose two designs which became reality.

The first design is a wonderful collection of colourful pictures of Burnham drawn by younger students which now decorate our stairs, drawing visitors upstairs.

The second piece is an incredible coffee table with a 3D representation of important buildings in Burnham, and beautifully designed books of photographs of Burnham through the years selected in conjunction with Burnham and District Heritage Society. The table now has pride of place on our first floor landing.

Chair of the Burnham Park Management Committee Ekta Kaur Ross congratulated the students on their magnificent work, and thanked them for the pieces that will be a very valued part of the hall for years to come.

Cllr Marie Hammon then accepted a gift of additional photo books on behalf of Burnham and District Heritage.

Hall Manager Sharon Smith said "it's really important to us that this isn't just any village hall. It's Burnham's village hall, and we love that it's full of Burnham designs, like these amazing pieces as well as our heritage wall, embroidery and tapestry".
