When the nights get longer than the days, and the winter chill sets in, the composting process will naturally slow down. It’s easy to forget and switch off from home composting, but if you keep composting during the winter months, you will be rewarded in the spring!
The Buckinghamshire Waste Busters would be grateful of your support to encourage residents to keep composting this winter. We’ve prepared some simple social graphics and accompanying posts to share on your local Facebook pages. The Buckinghamshire Waste Busters Programme is a collaboration between charity Garden Organic and Buckinghamshire Council. A network of volunteers are trained and supported to promote waste reduction around the county. If there’s a Parish Councillor or local volunteer in your community who you think might benefit from the programme please get in touch. We’re keen to share tips and advice around home composting, recycling, and waste reduction. Volunteers attend many events, give talks to local groups, provide assemblies to schools, etc. Please do get in touch if there’s an opportunity in your community that we could pop in the diary for 2026 😊
