New Freedom Board unveiled

The Parish Council has unveiled a ‘new’ board to commemorate the award of the Freedom of the Parish of Burnham. The Freedom of the Parish was awarded for the first time last year, to Muriel Pepler and to David Pepler, for many decades of service to the community of Burnham. 

Following this award, our Clerk discovered an old board commemorating three citizens of Burnham who had been recognised for long and outstanding service to the community of Burnham. The three were Dr Maxwell Summers, Archibald Way, and George Pepler - David’s father. This was too good an opportunity to miss, so we have added the names of the new freemen to the same board. The board is now on display alongside our past Chairmen board and our past Clerks board - on the mezzanine level of Burnham Park Hall.
