TREE IN COMMEMORATION OF QUEEN ELIZABETH II

Burnham Parish Council have planted an English oak tree to commemorate the country’s longest reigning monarch.

Earlier today (Thursday 23rd February 2023) the Chairman, Marie Hammon, Vice-Chairman, Carol Linton and the Chairman of the Recreation & Amenities Committee, Ekta Kaur-Ross, joined Head Groundsman, Tim Garrett, and Groundsman, Tom Shakespeare to plant an oak tree on The Green outside Burnham Park Hall in memory of Her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.

Following the death of Her Majesty The Queen in September 2022, The Queen’s Green Canopy announced an extension to the end of March 2023 to give people the opportunity to plant trees in memorium to honour Her Majesty. The council is encouraging others to plant trees to celebrate the Queen's jubilee.
