Today is the 80th anniversary of VE Day – 8th May 1945 – the day the Second World War ended in Europe. People across the UK and the world celebrated peace after years of war.
We remember and thank all those who fought, worked and gave so much to help win that peace. Their bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
